Sourav Ganguly, the BCCI president has clarified that he had no intentions of issuing a show-cause notice to Virat Kohli for his comments before the South Africa tour began.
Several media reports suggested that Ganguly was planning on issuing a show-cause notice to Virat Kohli for his fiery press conference and it was board secretary Jay Shah who had convinced him to not take action
Quashing the reports, the former India captain said it was not true at all.

The ex-skipper in his press conference before the South Africa tour had claimed that his decision of stepping down from the T20 captaincy was taken as a 'progressive step' and there was no hesitation from any BCCI official. He had also said that he was informed that he was being removed as ODI captain around an hour before the selection meeting.
Reportedly, Ganguly who had earlier claimed that BCCI did not want him to step down from T20 captaincy wasn't very happy about Kohli's statements.
