The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan in this year's ICC Men's ODI Cricket World Cup has undergone rescheduling, along with adjustments to the details of eight other matches. Originally slated for Sunday, 15 October, the India-Pakistan clash in Ahmedabad has been moved a day earlier and will now take place on Saturday, 14 October, at the same venue.
Consequently, England's fixture against Afghanistan in Delhi, initially scheduled for Saturday, 14 October, has been pushed by 24 hours and will now be played on Sunday, 15 October.
Pakistan's match against Sri Lanka in Hyderabad, originally planned for Thursday, 12 October, has been moved up to Tuesday, 10 October. Australia's significant encounter against South Africa in Lucknow has been shifted back by 24 hours and will now be contested on Thursday, 12 October instead of Friday, 13 October.
Likewise, New Zealand's game against Bangladesh, originally scheduled as a day match for 14 October in Chennai, has been preponed to Friday, 13 October, and will be played as a day-night contest.
During the initial phase of the tournament, a slight alteration pertains to the timing of the England-Bangladesh match in Dharamsala. This clash will now begin at 10:30 AM (local time), shifting from its original day-night slot.
As the league stage concludes, three changes have been introduced. The double-header matches scheduled for Sunday, 12 November, have been moved a day ahead to Saturday, 11 November. These matches include Australia vs Bangladesh in Pune (10:30 AM) and England vs Pakistan in Kolkata (02:00 PM).
In another adjustment, India's last league game against the Netherlands has been moved from 11 to 12 November, and it will be a day-night encounter held in Bengaluru.
The ODI World Cup is set to commence on Thursday, 5 October, with a clash between 2019 finalists England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will culminate in the final at the same venue on Sunday, 19 November.
