Amid an ongoing political turmoil in the nation after the major suicide bomb attack in Peshawar, the Pakistan Cricket Board, upon the government's advice has shifted the venue of the upcoming ODI series against Australia, Federal Minister for interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad said on Friday.
The 3 match ODI series between the 2 nations and a single T20 which was to be played in Rawalpindi will now take place in Lahore, where the third Test will also be held starting Monday.

The minister said that the venue has been shifted due to political activities and scenarios, as there will be a lot of movement in Islamabad and Pindi during the time frame the matches are scheduled. While the ODI series begins on 29th March, the single T20I will be played on April 4th.
Several political rallies by the opposition parties have been lined up after the Peshawar bomb attack and the law enforcement expects thousands of people to enter Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
