Pathum Nissanka powered his way to an unbeaten 210 against Afghanistan on Friday to become the first-ever Sri Lankan to slam a double century in ODIs.

With his magnanimous double ton, Nissanka smashed the joint fifth-highest score by an opener in the history of men's ODI cricket.

The prolific batter hit a whopping 20 fours and 8 sixes enroute to his milestone.

The 25-year-old's knock also helped Sri Lanka post 381 against Afghanistan in Pallekele.
