Prithvi Shaw recently made a grand return to form with a double century followed by a hundred for Northamptonshire but a serious knee injury while fielding in a match against Durham ruled him out of the English One-Day Cup.

Now, according to Indian Express, Shaw’s return to competitive cricket might take longer than expected as the opening batter will take another 3 to 4 months to fully recover from his injury.

'An MRI was done after he got injured and it revealed a Grade-II tear in a ligament. He was sent to the NCA where we found that there was still swelling in his knee,' a BCCI official said.
