Prithvi Shaw might not be in the selectors' radar for a return to the Indian team but the 23-year-old made headlines with the bat on August 9.
Shaw, who is playing in his maiden county season, smashed a 153-ball 244 for Northamptonshire in England's One-Day Cup tournament against Somerset on Wednesday.
He reached this hundred in 81 balls while he crossed the 200-run mark in 129 balls. Shaw smashed 28 fours and 11 sixes en route to his second List A double century.
With that, Shaw became the first Indian to hit a double ton in the tournament. The batter from Mumbai is now only the second Indian after Cheteshwar Pujara to register a score of over 150 in the tournament.
This was his ninth List A century, and first since his 165 against Karnataka in the Vijay Hazare Trophy semifinal when he led Mumbai to lift the title in 2020-21.
