Delhi Capitals CEO Dhiraj Malhotra lavished praise on their young batter Prithvi Shaw and feels that the 23-year-old would turn out to be the game-changer for the franchise in the upcoming IPL season.
While speaking to The Times of India, Malhotra said, 'He made us win a couple of games last season but he has been unfortunate. He fell sick and I think that's what actually deterred him, not his form or the way he approaches the game. I still feel this year he will be the game-changer for us'
He further said his franchise would miss the services of skipper Rishabh Pant who survived a horrific car crash on new year's eve and is currently in rehabilitation. The franchise is trying to get the wicketkeeper-batter in the dug-out at least for IPL 2023, Malhotra added.
