Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has emphasized the value of district-level cricket in the life of a player.
While speaking at an event for Thiruvallur District Cricket Association, Dhoni said that cricketers should be proud of representing their district.

The former India captain also added that he got the chance to represent the country but it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't played for his district or school.
Dhoni is one of the greatest captains India has ever produced. Under the leadership of Dhoni, India won T20, ODI World Cups, and ICC Champions Trophy.
Dhoni had accumulated 10773 runs in 350 ODIs at an average of 50.57 while he scored 4876 runs in 90 Tests that he played for India.
