Ravi Shastri has made a massive claim about Virat Kohli's batting position during the 2019 ODI World Cup.

The former India cricketer, who was the head coach of Team India back then, said that he wanted Kohli to bat at number 4 during that tournament.

During a Star Sports show, Shastri said, 'When I was the coach in 2019, I thought I might have discussed that with MSK as well of him batting at four just to break that top-heavy lineup.'

'Because if we lost two or three at the top, we were gone and it was proved so just for reaching that experience. And if you look at Virat Kohli's record, he is good enough at number four,' Shastri concluded.

Interestingly, Virat has an impressive record while batting at number 4. In the 39 matches, he has scored 1767 runs and has smashed 7 hundreds and 8 fifties at an average of over 55.
