England might believe in chasing down any total in Test cricket but got a reality check in Rajkot.

India tamed the Three Lions and thrashed them by 434 runs in the 3rd Test to take a 2-1 lead in the 5-match Test series. It's now India's biggest win in Test cricket in terms of runs.

It was Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten 214 in the 2nd innings and Shubman Gill's gritty 91 that helped India declare at 430/4 on Day 4.

England was not just chasing 557 but was also chasing history as a target that big had never been chased down in Test history.

Even Bazball couldn't rescue the visitors as they got caught in India's spin trap. Ravindra Jadeja claimed his 13th Test 5-wicket-haul at his home ground as England was bowled out for a mere 122.

Interestingly, their highest run-scorer of the innings was by their number 10 batter Mark Wood, who scored 33.
