India ace allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been on the sidelines for nearly five months now is set to make a comeback in Saurashtra's final round of the Ranji Trophy fixture against Tamil Nadu in Chennai beginning January 24, as per a PTI report.
His Ranji comeback is to prove his fitness ahead of the much anticipated 4-match Australia series. the 34-year-old who is winding up his rehabilitation at the NCA, Bengaluru has reportedly started to bowl and bat.
The left-handed batter is seen as a vital cog in India's line-up has also been picked in a 17-member squad for the first two Tests against Australia slated to begin in Nagpur from February 9. However, his inclusion is subject to his fitness.
Jadeja suffered injury in his right knee and has not played any competitive cricket since the T20I against Hong Kong in the Asia Cup on August 31.
