Ricky Ponting: Shane Warne would have done a terrific job as England coach

While commemorating spin wizard Shane Warne's sudden demise, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting said that Warne would have done a terrific job as an England team's coach.

"Warne's passion and knowledge for the game is something to behold. He would have made a great coach. Having someone like Warne to take over the England cricket team, I think he would have done a terrific job, " Ponting said on The ICC Review.

Notably, Shane Warne had showed the desire to coach England weeks ahead of his tragic death.

England cricket team are looking for a head coach after Chris Silverwood's resignation following a 4-0 loss against Australia in the Ashes series. England cricket board has appointed Paul Collingwood as an interim coach for a time being.
