Rinku Singh announced his arrival on the international circuit in style during the second T20I versus Ireland in Dublin on August 20.
The prolific southpaw powered India to a strong 185 with his 21-ball-38 which also included 3 sixes and 2 fours.
For his terrific performance, Rinku Singh was awarded Player of the Match, his first-ever in an international match.
Speaking at the post-match presentation, the 25-year-old traced his journey from Aligarh to IPL and finally playing for Team India.
'The hard work that I have done... have been working hard for 10 years. The hard work that I did gets paid off with such contributions. The first game I batted, I get the Player of the Match, and I could not be any happier than this,' Rinku said.
He also revealed the mantra he followed to take India to a defendable total. 'I am feeling very good. I was trying to do what I have done in the IPL. I was very confident and tried to stay calm,' he said.
