Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken with Rishabh Pant's mother and inquired about his health after the cricketer's car crashed into a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the early hours of Friday.
Earlier in the day, the BCCI in a statement said that 'Rishabh has two cuts on his forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and has also hurt his right wrist, ankle, toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back.'
It added that the cricketer's health is stable.
The 25-year-old was on his way to his hometown Roorkee to surprise his mother when the accident that took place in Uttarakhand's Haridwar district around 5.30 am, police said.
