Rishabh Pant, Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna to play against India

Ahead of its rescheduled fifth Test against England, Rohit Sharma-led Team India is set to play a 4-day warm-up game against Leicestershire starting Thursday.

England Club in its statement said that Cheteshwar Pujara, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, and Rishabh Pant will team up with the Sam Evans-led Leicestershire squad.

The England and Wales Cricket Board, BCCI, and Leicestershire County Cricket Club said that they were allowed to play with the Running Foxes side in order to give chances to all members of the travelling party to take part in the warm-up game.

The board further informed that the match will be played with 13 players per side to provide flexibility and help manage bowling workloads.

India is currently leading the 5-match Test series with a 2-1 lead. The final match which will be played stating 1st July was postponed last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian squad.
