20-time Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer responded to Virat Kohli's heartfelt message for him that had gone viral on social media.

The ex-Indian captain addressed Federer as the 'greatest of all time' and paid tribute to the 41-year-old's contribution to the sporting world in a video message posted on the ATP Tour's Twitter page.

The Tennis legend in his response shared a screenshot of the video on his Instagram story and wrote, 'Thanks Virat Kohli, I hope to make it to India soon'.

In his message, Kohli who has met Federer twice wished him great luck in his future endeavors. He said, 'I'm sure in the next phase of your life you are going to have as much fun as you had on the court, I wish you all the best and your family as well'
