Team India won the 3rd Test against England in Rajkot by a historic margin of 434 runs. With this victory, Rohit Sharma led side took a 2-1 lead in the 5-match Test series. As per the latest reports, Jasprit Bumrah will be missing from the Indian squad for the 4th Test. On the other hand, KL Rahul, who missed the 2nd and 3rd Test matches due to injury is expected to rejoin the squad for the 4th Test match which is scheduled to take place in Rachi.
India’s captain Rohit Sharma has provided an update on the batter and said, “he should be okay”.
While India thrashed England in Rajkot, Rahul was still at the NCA recovering. So, with Rahul set to return it will surely provide a boost to India’s middle-order that has not been at their very best in this series thus far.
India registers biggest win
India’s 434 run-win at Rajkot is their biggest ever in terms of runs. This, after they had scored 445 and 430 runs in their two innings. That gives an idea of how poor England were with the bat. After being 207/2 at the end of Day 2 to be 319 all out, they were skittled out for 122 in the fourth innings.
India’s Likely Playing XI at Ranchi:
Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj.
