The constant clamour around Team India's workload, team management, and injury issues has always pointed towards the importance of bench strength, and the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma too, resonates with that thought.
Sharma while speaking on Star Sports' show Follow The Blues said that with the future of the Indian team in perspective, he wants to create India's bench strength. 'We want to make sure that India's future is in safe hands' he added.
The Indian cricket team has always had a hectic schedule and with World T20 approaching the team has tried to find the best possible combination and injuries and workload management have further played a part in it.
the Indian Skipper who will next lead India in the upcoming Asia Cup further spoke about Rahul Dravid, the Indian coach, and said that Dravid was on the same page as him which made the processes for them.
'It was easier for me to give out a clear message to the boys because the coach and the captain always need to be on the same page for the team to move in the same direction', said Rohit.
