Though the drama did not end there as he was rested till April 30 by the board after Shakib said he felt like a 'passenger' during Afghanistan T20I series.
However, in the latest development, the apparent fight between Shakib and the board ended as the southpaw made himself available for the South Africa tour after meeting the board president Nazmul Hassan. Meanwhile, the Bangladesh board president diffused the ongoing rift, saying " if he skips a match during South Africa series, please accept it. He wants to play and that is the most important thing."
Bangladesh is set to play three ODIs and two Tests in South Africa. The tour will start on March 18 with the ODI series and it will end on April 12 after two Tests.
