KL Rahul, who has missed the last 3 Tests against England, is not likely to make it for the 5th and final Test in Dharamsala as well.

According to a report in Cricbuzz, Rahul has not recovered completely from the quadriceps injury he suffered in the first Test and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has sent him to London for an expert opinion.

He underwent surgery for his quadriceps last year and made a sensational comeback in Asia Cup 2023. However, the injury returned during the 1st Test vs England and he was subsiquently ruled out of the 2nd Test.

Rahul was reportedly '90 per cent' cleared to play the third Test match but the team management and National Cricket Academy (NCA) decided to reassess the situation as there was still some stiffness.

He was named in the squad for the final 3 Tests but his availability was subject to fitness. Since India has already taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series, the management is not likely to rush with Rahul's return.
