The Pakistan cricket team is likely to get a new vice-captain soon.
According to a report in Geo News, Shaheen Shah Afridi is the front runner to become Babar Azam's deputy.
The Pakistan skipper found himself in the line of fire after a poor Asia Cup campaign, where Pakistan were beaten by India and Sri Lanka.
There were talks of removing Babar as the skipper but taking such a decision with the ODI World Cup around wouldn't have been a wise call.
However, the Pakistan Cricket Board wants to make amends to the leadership group and hence are all set to replace Shadab Khan with Afridi for the vice-captain's role.
