Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the 1st Test vs Australia as the middle-order batter hasn’t completely recovered from his back injury.

He will miss the Nagpur Test starting February 9 but is likely to regain full fitness ahead of the 2nd Test.

In his absence, Suryakumar Yadav is likely to make his Test debut.

Shreyas Iyer had earlier opted out of the 3-match T20I series vs New Zealand due to the same back issue.
