After repeatedly ignoring BCCI's domestic cricket diktat, Shreyas Iyer is all set to participate in the Ranji Trophy semifinal for Mumbai against Tamil Nadu.
As per a Cricbuzz report, the 29-year-old, under fire for skipping the quarterfinal against Baroda, has been included in the squad for game set to be played in Mumbai from March 2.
The middle-order batter was dropped from the ongoing series against England following a series of low scores and had ignored BCCI's instructions to play domestic cricket citing a back injury.
NCA chief Nitin Patel however, had negated Iyer's claims, stating that he is fit to play.
Apart from Shreyas, Ishan Kishan has also been prepping for IPL instead of focusing on Jharkhand's Ranji campaign, ignoring BCCI orders as well.
