Mohammed Shami may be one of India's most reliable bowlers now but back in 2018, he was battling match-fixing allegations levelled against him by his ex-wife Hasin Jahan.
Opening up on the saga, Ishant Sharma, who was Shami's teammate then, told Cricbuzz that the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) had approached all the players, and asked us whether Shami could do match-fixing or not.
Ishant revealed that he told ACU, 'I don't know Shami's personal things but I'm 200 per cent sure he can't do that because I know him that well.'
During the BCCI investigation, Shami lost his central contract and was even dropped from the team for a while but after it concluded, the pacer was given a clean chit by the board.
