Steve Smith wins Allan Border Medal, crowned Australia's Best Men's player 4th time

Steve Smith has been crowned Australia's Best men's cricketer for 2022.

Smith was awarded the Allan Border medal, the Australian men's cricket team's highest individual honour. Smith, who got 171 votes, finished ahead of Travis Head with 144 votes & David Warner with 141 to his name.

The 33-year-old won the award for the fourth time, having won in 2015, 2018 and 2021 previously.

He also became only the third Australian cricketer after Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke to have won the award four times.
