Many experts including former India captain Sunil Gavaskar came down heavily on Rishabh Pant for throwing his wicket away in the 2nd innings of the Wanderers Test vs South Africa. Now, Gautam Gambhir has also blasted the youngster for getting out for a duck.
Calling the shot foolish, Gauti said that even if Pant got a six off the ball, he shouldn’t have played the shot. During a chat with Star Sports, he added that you will call that stupidity and not bravery. 'There is a very thin line to call yourself brave. This is not Test cricket as it is all about handling pressure,' Gambhir said.
Pant came out to bat when a well-set pair of Pujara and Rahane was just dismissed but threw his wicket away by playing a rash shot and was out for just a duck.
