T20 World Cup 2022: Mohammed Shami took a flight for Brisbane from Bengaluru on Wednesday evening to join Team India ahead of T20 World Cup 2022.
Along with Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur also made it to the reserve players for the tournament but Shami is considered as the front runner to replace an injured Jasprit Bumrah in the squad.
Team India will play 2 warm-up matches against reigning champions Australia on October 17 and last year’s runners-up New Zealand on October 19.
Rohit Sharma's men will open their campaign against Pakistan on October 23.
