The Rohit Sharma-led Team India is set to begin their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against Pakistan on October 23rd, as per the schedule announced by the ICC on Friday.
The rival nations will see each other at the Melbourne Cricket Ground for the first time in the eighth edition of the World T20. They last played against each other in the World T20 in The UAE where Pakistan defeated India.
The 2022 World T20 which will see a total of 16 nations participating will be hosted in Australia for the first time. The event will begin from October 16 with Sri Lanka playing against Namibia in the first match.

The matches will be played across Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Hobart, Perth, Sydney, and Brisbane. While the winners of the 2020 edition and the hosts, Australia will take on New Zealand in the first clash of the Group 1 match of Super 12, India will begin the Super 12 for Group 2 against Pakistan.
