Team India had a decent start to its practice games in Australia ahead of T20 World Cup 2022 as the Men in Blue beat Western Australia by 13 runs in its first warm-up match at the WACA in Perth on Monday.
India won the toss and opted to bat first but Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant failed to impress. However, Suryakumar Yadav continued with his rich form with the bat and scored 52. Hardik Pandya too chipped in with a 20-ball-29 as the visitors finished at 158/6.
Defending which, Arshdeep Singh bamboozled the local side with figures of 3 for 6 in 3 overs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal too chipped in with 2 wickets each as Western Australia was all out for 145.
India will play its second warm-up match against the same opposition on October 13.
