Team India Captain Rohit Sharma out of quarantine

Team India's preparations for the limited-overs series against England got a major boost after captain Rohit Sharma tested negative for Covid-19.

Rohit is out of isolation now and will be available for the T20I and ODI series against the Three Lions, starting July 7 in Southampton.

According to a PTI report, Rohit has tested negative and is now out of quarantine. However, the Indian captain will not be available for T20 warm-up game against Northamptonshire.

The BCCI medical protocol mandates any player out of quarantine to undergo cardiovascular tests to check lung capacity.

Earlier, the 35-year-old India captain missed the rescheduled fifth Test against England after he had tested positive for Covid during the warm-up game against Leicestershire
