With the deadline to announce Team India's squad for the Asia Cup being August 8, selectors are likely to meet virtually this week.
According to a report in Cricbuzz, the Asia Cup squad will almost be the same that will travel to Australia for the T20 World Cup in October-November. The selectors want to give the team management a sufficient number of games to play with ahead of the World T20.
It's almost certain that the Asia Cup squad will see all the senior players including Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah return to the team. KL Rahul, who has been out of action since the IPL, is also expected to make a comeback.
The Asia Cup, which starts on August 27, was due to be played in Sri Lanka but was moved to the UAE due to political tensions in the island nation.
