Embedded firmly in minds of every cricket fan is the iconic game-changing moment when Virat Kohli smashed Haris Rauf for consecutive sixes to help India steal a 4-wicket victory from Pakistan in their T20 World Cup opener. And so is the case with the Pakistani bowler who even after a month isn't able to comprehend the maths behind those fabulous maximums.
Hailing his class, the Pakistani fast bowler who gave away 19 runs in the 19th over, rekindling India's hope of a win told Cricwick, 'That was his class and the kind of shots that he plays, and the two sixes that he hit, I don't think any other player could hit that kind of shots.'
Further adding that if Dinesh Karthik or Hardik Pandya would have hit him like that he would have been hurt, Rauf said, 'I had no idea that Kohli could hit me down the ground off that length. So when he hit that shot off me, that's his class. My plan and execution was fine but that shot was all class', he said.
Virat Kohli held the fort until the end and smashed a brilliant 82* in 53 balls to help India win beat Pakistan in a fianl over thriller.
