As the debate over giving more chances to Hanuma Vihari and Shreyas Iyer intensifies, Team India head coach Rahul Dravid has hinted that the duo might have to wait for regular chances.
Dravid praised Vihari and Iyer's batting skills but said that the senior players also had to wait for their time and had to score a lot of runs at the start of their careers. 'So, it's the nature of the sport,' added Dravid.
Hanuma Vihari impressed with the bat in the 2nd Test vs South Africa. After scoring 20 in the first innings, he smashed an unbeaten 40 in the 2nd innings. Interestingly, Pujara and Rahane also ended a long dry run with the bat and scored crucial half-centuries when India needed it the most.
