Only 3 Indians made it to the ICC's Test team of the year 2021, as per the global cricket body who announced the team on Thursday.

While Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and R Ashwin got a place in the Test XI, no Indians were named in the ODI and T20 list. The World Test Championship winner, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson was named as the skipper of the ICC Test squad.
Fawad Alam, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Afridi were the 3 Pakistani cricketers who also earned their places in the squad. Lankan opener Dimuth Karunaratne secured the opening position in the team.
