No matter what has been said and written about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, the two have often come out and defended their bond.
Ahead of the 1st Test vs Sri Lanka in Mohali, which will be Virat's 100th game in whites, the new India skipper picked his favourite memory of Kohli.
During his press conference, the Hitman said that the best memory as a batter for him was the knock Kohli played in South Africa in 2013. 'A challenging wicket and we were playing there for the first time... but the manner in which he batted and scored a ton. It was a knock I clearly remember,' added Rohit.
The Hitman was referring to Virat's 119 in the 1st innings of the Johannesburg Test which helped India draw a historic Test vs the Proteas.
Rohit also lavished praise on Virat Kohli's illustrious career and said that Virat has done exceedingly well and changed so many things to help the team move forward.
