India's legendary cricketer Virender Sehwag made a major revelation about his cricketing career and said that he was thinking of taking retirement after MS Dhoni dropped him from ODI Playing XI during the 2008 CB series in Australia.
While talking on a Cribuzz show, Sehwag said that Sachin Tendulkar stopped him at that time and asked him to go home, think hard and then make a decision on his career.
Notably, India won the CB series for the first time in 2008 when the Dhoni-led side defeated Australia in the best of three finals and Sehwag was not part of the Playing XI that won both the finals.
However, Sehwag had played a major role in the 2011 World Cup, when India lifted the ODI World Cup after 28 years.
Sehwag was regarded as one of the destructive openers in world cricket during his heydays. He scored in excess of 8000 runs in both Tests and ODIs.
