Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur has given a befitting reply to Pakistan Cricket Board chief Rameez Raja who had earlier said that the Men in Green would not travel to India for the ODI World Cup if India does not visit Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
While BCCI is yet to make a statement on Raja's comments, Thakur in his stern reply to the PCB head said, 'Wait for the right time, India is a major power in the world of sports and no country can overlook India.
The former Pakistan cricketer, Raja had said that the board will take an aggressive approach and had questioned if Pakistan does not participate in the World Cup hosted by India then who will watch the event.
While the Asia Cup 2023 is set to be played in September, the ODI World Cup will take place in the October-November window. BCCI secretary, Jay Shah had earlier said that the Indian team will play at a neutral venue in the Asia Cup 2023 and will not travel to Pakistan.
