Despite winning the 1st Ashes Test vs England, Australian top-order batters found it tough to get going for long, specially Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne.
Ahead of the 2nd Test at Lord's, the Aussies are leaving no stone unturned in order to get the 2 batters up and running. For that, both Smith and Labuschagne had extended net sessions on Saturday.
Labuschagne, who was out for a golden duck and 13 in two innings of the Birmingham Test, lost his number 1 Test ranking to Joe Root after that game.
Analysing his batting, Aussie batting coach Michael Di Venuto said that he could leave couple of balls on twelfth stump line.
'Marnus is always working on his game. We have all seen him train before. He is meticulous in the way he goes about his preparation, he is always fidgeting around with different things, technically...but, yeah, it is all pretty normal for Marnus,' he added.
