Ellyse Perry has broken the glass ceiling a few times in the past but on Monday night, she literally shattered the glass as her huge six in RCB vs UP Warriorz WPL 2024 match hit the Tata Punch car window, leaving it in pieces.
In the penultimate ball of the 19th over, Perry hit Deepti Sharma for an 80-metre six and the ball shattered a car window.
The 33-year-old Australian all-rounder was herself left surprised and had her hands on her head after seeing the glass being broken.
Interestingly, it was RCB's last game this season at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore and Perry made sure that the crowd returned home entertained.
Perry was at her destructive best as her 37-ball-58 powered RCB to a mammoth 198/3 vs UPW. A 95-run stand with skipper Smriti Mandhana was enough to help her side end a 2-match losing run.
