After Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians released an emotional video, paying tribute to their five-time title winner.
35-year-old Pollard wanted to carry on playing for a few more years but decided to retire from IPL after a discussion with the Mumbai-based franchise.
However, Pollard will be playing for an MI-owned franchise in the inaugural International League T20 in the United Arab Emirates.
Pollard, who has 3412 IPL runs in 189 matches, made his MI debut back in 2010. Despite his retirement, he has a strong association with Mumbai Indians and now he will continue as the team's batting coach in IPL.
