While the Australian and English cricketers are fighting it hard on the field to claim the Ashes urn, the Prime Ministers from both the countries engaged in a banter off the pitch.
The 2 Ministers met on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Lithuania and Australian PM Anthony Albanese presented Rishhi Sunak with a piece of paper that read the current Ashes series scoreline of ‘2 -1’ as they posed for photos.
In reply, Sunak brought out a photo of English batters Mark Woods and Chris Woakes celebrating the win in the 3rd Test, which kept the series alive.
However, Albanese cleverly pulled out a photo of Jonny Bairstow being run out in the second Test. In order to not being outdone, Sunak replied, 'I’m sorry I didn’t bring my sandpaper with me.'
