Despite claiming a 5-wicket haul in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, it wasn't Imad Wasim's match-winning performance that was the talking point, but his video of smoking inside the dressing room while the match was on caught the eyeballs.
The video quickly went viral on social media and landed the Islamabad United all-rounder in a huge controversy. The cricketer and PSL have received a lot of backlash, with some even terming it as the Pakistan 'Smoke' League.
Wasim's figures of 5/23 in 4 overs restricted Multan Sultans to 159/9. It proved to be a nail-biting finish as Islamabad United won the final on the last ball.
Imad Wasim, who was named as the player of the match, said after the match, "Didn't know that it would go on to be the best ever tournament. Just wanted to have an impact in the team's win. It was a new experience - taking five wickets in the final. Took lesson that we should've finished it one over earlier. I'm happy playing cricket. Trying my utmost to contribute for the team. 4-5 years of cricket left in me."
