There was a time when scoring a double hundred in ODIs seemed impossible but then we now have 8 of those since 2010. However, no one imagined a batter smashing a double ton in T20 cricket but Rahkeem Cornwall proved it to be a mere misconception as he became only the 2nd man on the planet to achieve that feat.
The West Indian batter made history by smashing an unbeaten 205 off just 77 deliveries for Atlatnta Fire in the Atlanta Open 2022 League. With 22 sixes and 17 fours Cornwall had a strike rate of over 266. His knock powered his side to 326.
However, it's not the first time that the world witnessed a double hundred in the shortest format of the game. Delhi’s Subodh Bhati became the first player to score a double century in a club T20 game in 2021.
