As Suryakumar Yadav continues to amaze the world with his unorthodox and unconventional batting, the Indian star received special appreciation from New Zealand's ace Glenn Phillips.
As India is in New Zealand for a limited-overs series, Phillips who himself shone with a ton during the recently concluded T20 World Cup said, what Suryakumar Yadav does, he wouldn’t even dream of doing.
‘He is incredible. The things that he does I wouldn't even dream of doing. I would love to try but we have very different games’, Phillips was quoted saying to stuff.co.nz.
Phillips called India’s Mr. 360 who is currently ruling the T20I charts, a rare talent and went on to praise SKY's wrist strength that helps him to ‘hit balls for six in extremely awkward areas’.
Highlighting that him and Surya have different strengths, the New Zealander admitted that their approach of attacking the opposition has high reward but also comes with high risk and if the shots aren't executed right then the chances of getting out are high.
Hardik Pandya-led India are currently playing a 3-match T20I series against New Zealand.
