Shubman Gill, the prolific Indian opener has been on a spree of collecting runs in the 50-over format. The 23-year-old in the New Zealand ODI series has amassed a total of 360 runs, however, in his chat with Rahul Dravid post the 3rd match vs New Zealand, Gill spoke about his 'hard taskmaster', his father.
When the Indian head coach remarked that finally Gill's father would be happy to see him scoring 100s, Gill revealed that his father would have wanted him to get a bigger score.
Dravid also revealed that when the young gun was scoring runs but couldn't make it to the 100-run mark his father had commented, 'Shubhman are you only going to show us drizzles or are you actually going to show us some rain?'
Dravid also lauded Gill for his terrific run with the bat. While praising Gill, the head coach highlighted how the 23-year-old's hunger had paved the way for him to become a better cricketer.
