When Virat Kohli takes the field during India’s tour of the West Indies, he could achieve a feat only attained by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar before.
It is likely that Kohli will become only the second Indian player in the history of cricket to play against a father-son duo away from home.
The 34-year-old cricketer played against Shivnarine Chanderpaul during India’s 2011 tour and now there is a chance that Kohli will play against Tagenarine Chanderpaul, the Windies’ cricketer’s son.
Sachin Tendulkar is the only other Indian to achieve this feat in 2011. Tendulkar faced Shaun Marsh in Australia, 19 years after he played against his father Geoff Marsh.
India will play against West Indies in two Tests, 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is with the first Test beginning July 12.
