After Chetan Sharma's alleged loose talk during a sting operation, his position as chairman of the national selection committee has become untenable.
However, the Indian board might give him a chance to defend himself before taking a final decision on his fate, according to a PTI report.
The report further stated that Chetan's loose talk in the sting operation hasn't gone down well with the top brass of the BCCI.

A board source told PTI that Chetan spoke too much and nobody could have seen him speaking to Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma publicly in any training session.
The BCCI source added that during the T20 World Cup in Australia, Chetan was standing in one corner and no one bothered to speak to him.
