India will need to bring out their A-game when they lock horns with the mighty Aussies in the first semifinal of the T20 World Cup on Thursday.
While India managed to beat the lower-ranked teams, they failed to overcome second-ranked England to finish second in the group.
And in the semifinal, the Women In Blue are up against top-ranked Australia, who have won this competition a record 5 out of 7 times.
However, Meg Lanning's side will be wary of the threat posed by India. Harmanpreet Kaur's side is the only team that managed to win a game against them in 2022. And it was India who defeated them in the ODI World Cup semifinal in 2017 as well.
While India have been guilty in the past of taking their foot off the pedal in the knockouts, it's time the young Indian side rises to the occasion.
The Women in Blue will require a complete performance to beat the reigning champions.
A tough test awaits them in Cape Town, and if they win, a place in history beckons!
