WPL 2023 finalists Delhi Capitals became the first team to complete their squad for WPL 2024 after they bought three players in the auction.

The DC franchise broke the bank for Australian all-rounder Annabel Sutherland and picked the star player for INR 2 crore. Delhi Capitals engaged in an intense bidding war with Mumbai Indians (MI) but managed to get the player after MI withdrew from the contest.

With only 25 lakhs left in the purse, the franchise then went for two uncapped players Aparna Mondal and Ashwani Kumari to complete their squad.

Interestingly, Aparna Mondal was with the Delhi Capitals in WPL 2023 but wasn't retained. However, they bought her back at the auction.
