Under Alyssa Healy's captaincy, the UP Warriorz lost to the Mumbai Indians in the eliminator and ultimately finished third in the standings, meaning they were unable to advance to the finals the previous season. For the forthcoming second season, UP Warriorz purchased five players, including one foreign star at the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction.

For the uncapped Indian player Vrinda Dinesh, whose base price was INR 10 lakh, the Warriorz paid a hefty price. They engaged in a heated bidding battle with the Gujarat Giants and ultimately paid INR 1.3 crore to acquire the Karnataka-based player.

Additionally, they paid Rs 10 lakh for Poonam Khemnar's services, Rs 10 lakh for Saima Thakor, and Rs 30 lakh for Gouher Sultana.
